The meeting focused on the current phase of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict and prospects for its resolution, and the public and political situation in the Caucasus region. The sides also exchanged views on Islam in the region. We should note that Pashazade has been visiting Egypt since 30 May this year. He has been invited to attend an Islamic conference organized by the Ministry for Religious Endowments [Awqaf] of Egypt and Al-Azhar University [of Cairo].
